What can I expect on Sunday?
You can expect to enter an environment where you will have the opportunity to encounter Jesus. We will open with music and prayer. Our pastor will give a talk with a strong biblical foundation founded on the Gospel, and applicable to daily life. And an opportunity for response will be given, before we conclude. Our services are approximately 70 minutes and we invite our church family and guests to stay and visit afterwards. Our pastor would love to say hello and chat with you!
If you come on the First or Third Sunday of the month, we celebrate Holy Communion. In your worship folder you will find a statement about what we believe about Communion. We welcome all who share that same statement to come forward and receive at the table. Not ready to make that kind of commitment? That is ok! Feel free to remain in your seat, no one will single you out. We have great respect for those who are not sure if they share the same belief about Communion and choose to refrain rather than just being part of the crowd. Confused about what to do? Sit in the center section of the auditorium, that way there will always be a group ahead that you can follow. You can always ask a host if you have questions. You can find out more on our Values and Beliefs page.
What should I wear?
We believe that you should feel free to come as you are, whether in a shirt and tie or a t-shirt and jeans. There is no dress code–we just want to see you!
How early should I arrive?
Service begins at 9:30am but we’d love to have a chance to chat. Feel free to come a little early, figure out where things are, get you children checked in (if you have them), and just take time to become acquainted with us. If you would like prayer, there will be people inside the worship center at about 9:10am who would love to pray with you. Prayers are always confidential.
Where do my children go?
As you enter the lobby, the children’s area will be straight ahead, in the Commons (cafeteria) if the High School. We have ministries and programs for children ages 3 years through 5th. More information about children’s ministry can be found here. Have a toddler? We have a place for them too! Just ask a host. (The toddler area is past the auditorium at the end of the long hall)
The safety and security of your child is important to us! For your child to join our children’s ministries, you will need to check them in. If this is your first time, we will ask you to register your child. Once your child is checked in, we invite you to bring them with you into service for the first 20 minutes. They will be dismissed to CCKIDS! during the offering.
Following the service, please join us in the lobby for coffee and cookies. Community is important to us at Christ Community and we enjoy getting to spend time with each other. We would love to get to know you! If coffee isn’t your thing we also have tea and hot chocolate available.
