Gathering Together in Safety
While we are excited to be back together at Ridgefield High School, we recognize that there are varying levels of comfort about being together in person. Here is what you can expect from worship each week.
Face Coverings
Christ Community is committed to following state and local guidelines for worship. We ask that masks be worn any time you are in the building. If you don’t have a mask or forget to bring one, we have them available at the doors to the lobby. Please feel free to take one to use. The mask should be worn covering both mouth and nose.
Physical Distancing
We know that you miss being together but we request that you refrain from physical contact as much as possible. Wave, give an air-five, jump up and down, but please be respectful of personal space.
Also, seating will be marked off in the auditorium into groups. There will be seating for a variety of household sizes and every other row will be unavailable. The room is big so we can spread out. Hosts will be available to help you find seating that will accommodate your group. Feel free to sit on the sides or even in the balcony!
Increased Sanitizing
We are committed to a clean space. Hand sanitizer will be available at the front doors, inside the worship center, and throughout the facility. Please use it! Doors will be propped open to limit touch points and drinking fountains are closed.
In addition to the cleaning performed by the janitorial staff, we will be wiping down surfaces and disinfecting all the chairs prior to the start of service. Kids mats will be cleaned before and after service.
Offering baskets will not be used. Please feel free to give online or use the red drop boxes inside the doors to the worship center.
We will still celebrate Communion but will invite people forward in family groups. Servers will be gloved and masked and all items will be handed to individuals. There are no common cups or bowls.
CC!Kids
We will have our CC!Kids ministry up and running with several modifications. Masks are required on all staff and kids. Each child will be issued a 2×2 foam mat to sit on which will be sanitized before and after service. Kids will be directed to spaces 6 feet apart unless they are from the same family. Sanitizer will be available for use.
