NEHEMIAH

The Old Testament comes to a close with the story of Nehemiah and the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem. This account seems like a simple practical matter but in his defense of the holy city and the protection of God's temple, Nehemiah sets the stage for the New Jerusalem- the Church and the New Temple- the followers of Christ.
