JESUS THE TEACHER

The Sermon on the Mount is arguably one of the best known speeches delivered by Jesus. He had begun preaching a message of repentance and now as he looks out over the crowds he see self-assured religious leaders who are confident in their place before God and he sees assembled masses desperate for hope. Our culture prizes strength but Jesus preaches humility and weakness. It isn't our strength that gets us into God's kingdom, it is the knowledge that we are not enough and a trust in the Father to carry us.
