God never leaves us alone. Even when it seems like we are farthest from him, he brings himself to us. Jacob, on the run from his brother, finds himself alone in the wilderness and at this point, he is finally ready for God to step in. It takes Jacob coming to the end of himself for the door to be open enough for the Lord to step through. He works the same for us, it is often in our lowest moments that God shines brightest.
