Indescribable Compassion

What is something that is so awful that it can completely separate us from not only our family and friends but even from the presence of God? Can you think of something? When Jesus heals a man with leprosy, Jesus tells everyone that this physical disease is like the spiritual one. Without Christ, we are all like the leper, isolated, hopeless, and alone. But with Jesus we get total cleansing and a welcome as not just a friend but a member of the family!
