Trust doesn't come easy. We don't rush into trusting people because we are suspicious of their motives or unsure about their dependability. But when we are skeptical about trusting God, we actually fail as his followers but the good news is that God doesn't give up on us. Israel struggled with trust and it lead to 40 years in the desert but during that time they discovered that they could depend entirely upon the Lord for everything.
